Northhold Group has reached a major milestone at its Deluna residential scheme in Ancoats, with works completing on the steel frame.

The seven-storey, brick clad building will provide 38 new apartments; a mixture of one and two-bedroom properties in one of Manchester City Centre’s most popular neighbourhoods.

ABGI Construction has progressed quickly with works following the demolition of the former Cheshire Cheese pub in November 2020. The dilapidated site has been completely overhauled, with Deluna now replacing the former public house building.

Vanessa Warbrick, Development Director at Northhold Group, said: “We have worked hard to create a scheme befitting of both Ancoats’ industrial past and the demand for city living in this thriving neighbourhood so it’s fantastic to see the building coming to life and the new steel frame now anchoring this prominent location.”

Deluna – named in a nod to Ancoats’ Italian roots dating back to the 19th century – is expected to complete later this year.
